Milligan Wins Medalist Honors; Scorpions Finish 3rd

SALADO -- Chris Milligan won medalist honors and the UTB/TSC men's golf team finished third at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invitational Tuesday, October 2, at the Mill Creek Golf Course.

Milligan, a sophomore from Harlingen High, shot a 75 Tuesday to go with his opening-round 67 for a two-day total of 142, one shot better than Patrick Nolin of the University of Dallas.

Teammate Jones Mitchell finished in ninth place with a score of 150, with a 77 on the first day and 73 on Tuesday. Senior Anthony Lopez had a 73-79=152 score, followed by Victor Calzada with a 78-77=155, Jerry Borgogni with a 87-79=166.

The University of Texas of Dallas finished first with a 593, followed by Newman University with a 598.

Three Scorpions participated as individuals. O.J. Moreno finished third with a 70-76=146 score, followed by Brock Crosson with a 161 and Nate Atkins with a 168.
