The UTB/TSC women's golf team
is ranked 25th in the first
release of NAIA Women's Golf Top
25 ratings for 2007-08.
The rating was the first of the season after the Fall women's golf season. Additional ratings will be released February 29, March 28, April 11, April 25 and May 2.
The Scorpions received 15 votes.
Oklahoma City University, who are members of NAIA Region VI with the Scorpions, is the top-ranked team with 325 total points.
The Scorpions are ranked fifth in Region VI, behind OCU, Lubbock Christian University, Southern Nazarene University, and Northwood University.
Members of the team include seniors Tara Calderon and Annette Valdez, juniors Allison Valles and April Martinez, and freshmen Amanda Anzaldua, Andrea Cadriel, Ariana Gutierrez, and Rae Anne Lerma.
The Scorpions resume tournament action in February.
