Candia Named RRAC Player of the Week Again

For the second straight week, Scorpion junior Lena Candia has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 3-9.

Candia, a midfielder/forward from Malmo, Sweden, scored three more goals as the Scorpions went 2-2 during the weekly period. She scored twice in the Scorpions' 5-0 win over St. Gregory's University (Okla.) and scored the only goal in a 5-1 loss to Oklahoma Baptist University.

Danielle Parks of Texas Wesleyan received the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition.

Last week, Candia was also named Region VI Player of the Week and was nominated for NAIA National Player of the Week.
