Women's Soccer Team Plays Last of Eight Straight Road Games

SEGUIN -- The TSC women's soccer team plays the last of eight straight games on the road when the Scorpions visit Texas Lutheran University at Gustafson Field at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 18.

The Scorpions are off to a fast 5-2 start in the first season of soccer on the UTB/TSC campus. Their record is the best among Red River Athletic Conference teams. Texas Lutheran University, a member of the NCAA Division III, is 3-1 thus far this season.

Out of the 17 games on the Scorpion schedule, the first eight have been on the road. The Scorpions are home for five of their last nine games.

The Scorpions are fresh off a championship in the Southwestern Assemblies of God Tournament at Northwood University last weekend.

Lena Candia is the team's leading scorer with 10 goals in seven games, an average of 1.43 per game. She scored three goals to lead the Scorpions to a 5-0 rout over York College (Kan.) Saturday, September 15.
