Eight members of the UTB/TSC women's soccer
team have been named to the 2007 Red River Athletic Conference All-Conference
Team, as voted by the conference's head coaches.
Forward Lena Candia was named Offensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Candia was the leading scorer in the conference with 22 goals in 16 games, a 1.375 average per game. She received RRAC Offensive Player of the Week award four times during the season.
Also named to the first team were midfielders Vanessa Gallegos, Brittany Moseley, and Lauren Owens, and defenders Aliesha Cassie, Kristin Resing and Carling Rootes.
Forward Mayra Solis was named to the second team.
Michelle Gross of Bacone College and Allie Heafner of Texas Wesleyan University were named Co-Defensive Players of the Year, and Josh Gibbs of TWU was named Coach of the Year.
