Soccer, Volleyball Preseason Games Scheduled August 18

The long-awaited debut of Scorpion Soccer is only days away -- Saturday, August 18.

It's the first public appearance for the Scorpion women's and men's soccer teams, when they play the Orange and White games at 1 and 3 p.m., respectively, at Morningside Park.

At 7 p.m., the Scorpion volleyball team makes its 2007 debut against former Scorpion players in the annual Alumni game at the Manuel Garza G. Gymnasium.

The women's soccer team will be split into Orange and White teams for its game at 1 p.m., while the men's team will be divided for its 3 p.m. game.

The men's and women's soccer season begins Thursday, August 23.

Admission for each game will be $1 or two cans of food, which will be donated to the Valley Food Bank to help the Valley's hungry.
