The UTB/TSC women's volleyball
team played two matches in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Saturday in
different locations, and came away with two victories.
The Scorpions blanked Southern Nazarene University, 3-0, Saturday morning in Waxahachie, then traveled 45 miles to Fort Worth and outlasted Texas Wesleyan University in five games Saturday afternoon, 3-2.
The wins lifted the Scorpions' overall record to 9-3.
UTB/TSC leads the Red River Athletic Conference with a 1-0 record after a 3-0 victory over Southwest Assemblies of God University Friday. The Scorpions, ranked first in the region, have won four straight and eight of their last nine matches.

FORT WORTH -- It took five games, but the Scorpions knocked off a
Red River Conference rival in Texas Wesleyan University. TWU is in the
RRAC North Zone; thus the match was not a conference match.
Jenny Ashley led the Scorpions with 16 kills, while Talita Milasauskas and Claudia Alarcon had 15 each, and Daianarah Bracero had 10, to go with her 53 assits.
Milasauskas and Jacque Touchet had seven blocks each, and Bracero also had four.

WAXAHACHIE -- The Scorpions won an important match over regional
opponent Southern Nazarene University here Saturday morning.
Southern Nazarene is a member of the Sooner Athletic Conference, which is also in Region VI with the Scorpions.
Talita Milasauskas led the Scorpions with 14 kills and Daianarah Bracero had 30 assists. Jenny Ashley added eight kills and Katie Japp six kills and three blocks.
