Bracero, Milasauskas Receive Conference, Region VI
Player of the Week Honors

Scorpion setter Daianarah Bracero and middle blocker Talita
Milasauskas have been named Red River Athletic Conference and NAIA
Region VI Player of the Week and Setter of the Week, respectively, for
the period October 1-7.
Both players played big roles in the Scorpions' success in four victories during the span. UTB/TSC is 20-5 for the season and ranked No. 22 in the latest NAIA national poll.
Milasauskas, a
freshman from Sao Paulo, Brazil, compiled 81 kills in the 4-0 week. She
pounded 26 kills in a 3-1 win over Eastern New Mexico University and
added 21 in a 3-1 victory over Lubbock Christian University (Texas), the
second-ranked team in the NAIA’s Region VI. Milasauskas averaged 5.8
kills per game with a hitting percentage of .435 for the week.
Milasauskas, who also contributed 45 digs and seven service aces, earned
her third player of the week award this season.
Bracero, a junior setter from Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, was equally as
impressive as the Scorpions maintained their momentum. She collected 193
assists in 14 games (13.9 per game) with a high of 61 against ENMU and
52 in the important match with LCU. Bracero chipped in 15 kills and 27
digs as well in earning her second award of the season.
