Scorpions Jump to No. 19 in NAIA Rankings, Highest of Season

The UTB/TSC Scorpions moved up one position to the No. 19 position in the newest NAIA National Women’s Volleyball Top 25, released Wednesday, October 31.

UTB/TSC received 108 votes, 37 more than they received last week when they were ranked No. 20. The Scorpions had never received more than 69 votes until this week.

The ranking is the highest this season for the Scorpions, who are 27-6 and have wrapped up the Red River Athletic Conference South Division crown. The Scorpions won four games to win the championship of the Trinity University Tournament Oct. 26-27, including a victory over Trinity, the No.3-ranked team in the NCAA Division III.

Fresno Pacific continues to lead the national rankings with a 25-0 record.

The Scorpions end the regular season at The University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg Thursday, November 1.

UTB/TSC will be the top seed at the RRAC Tournament in Fort Worth November 9-10.
