Scorpion Volleyball Celebration Scheduled Thursday

A celebration to honor the Scorpion women's volleyball which finished tied for 5th in the nation will be held at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, December 6, at the Student Union Veranda.

UTB/TSC advanced to the quarterfinals of the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Tournament in Columbia, Missouri, last week before losing to eventual national champion Fresno Pacific University, leaving the Scorpions tied for fifth in the nation with three other teams that advanced to the quarterfinals.

The Scorpions finished 36-9 for the season, winning the Red River Athletic Conference and NAIA Region VI championships along the way.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. Food and refreshments will be served.
